Sentinel and Primalist starting off as the most preferred classes makes sense, since they are the only 2 with all 3 masteries and almost a complete set of skills.
Yes, that was my interpretation too. Forge Guard and beastmaster are the least favorite masteries though. So that brings up two things: First, it is really hard to make three masteries equally interesting. Second, masteries with a minion focus might be less popular. Even necromancer, the archetype of minion builds is not particularly popular and even less so than lich. The letter is even more interesting considering that with falconer and runemaster a minion focus might be introduced to rogue and mage.
