I’m wondering why it seems to ruin some peoples’ day when low effort behavior that adds nothing to a forum but noise is called what it is.
“Oh noes! Someone told ANOTHER lazy poster that the search feature exists. Welp, there goes my weekend. Now I’m destined to just sit, huddled in the corner of my shower, shaking and crying. But first, let me scold them for pointing out that search exists!”
Using other human beings as a personal search engine is rude, and so is creating spam through repetition. Sorry.
And when you pry, their defense of doing that is always “But nobody will see it in such a big thread!”, because the reality is that they have no interest in contributing to the discussion, they’re only there to solicit attention and acknowledgement.
