Question on save files

I’m just wondering how the save file system in this game works. I notice we have to login each time to play the game, so are they actually stored on a server somewhere?

I played back in version 0.8.2 on a different computer and just came back for version 0.8.4. However, none of my old characters are available. (Which is fine) I’m just wondering if the characters disappeared because I changed computers or if they disappeared because it’s a new patch.

Hello.

Save files are currently saved locally at the moment. This will change after Multiplayer is in. For now, the only reason why they make you login is just to authenticate your copy of Last Epoch. You’re basically playing offline after the login.

By default, your files are here:
C:\Users%Username%\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves
