Question about the affixes upgrades that a Weaver's Will item can get

I just got my first ever Weaver’s Will item (yeah!) and at first, I was a bit confused on what they were, even with the tooltip.

But even after reading it a few times, I do not understand one thing. It says it will add or upgrade an affix for each point of Weaver’s Will it has (mine have 14). But, when I check the range of the 3 affixes already on it, none of them have a tier so I can see how high I can get.

Would I be able to get more than a +1 to acolyte skills here with some luck or what?

The stats on it will remain unchanged, they are not “affixes.” It will first add an affix using 1 WW point, and after that will either upgrade that affix or add another one. It continues until you have no more WW points left.

They add new affixes? Now I see how it could be powerful with enough luck.

And since, based on a guide I have read, they said that the max WW could be 28, does it mean these upgrades could go up to level 7 with enough luck?

In that case, the luck would be in finding such item. Because a 28 WW is a guarantee 4 T7 affixes.

I started to train it to see what I am getting. It is far from perfect but it could be worse.

Got as affixes the following:

  • Increased damage when channelling (useles for a minion necro)
  • Mana
  • Health
  • Endurance

Clearly, health and endurance are better and mana can help a little. I have 5 WW points left already out of the 14 I had when I started. Took me 1 monolith to get 9 points.

Yes, if you’re lucky enough to get one with 28 WW points then you will end up with 4 T7 affixes.

Well, I might need a lotery ticket real soon. Got a 11 WW ring tonight and started to train it. Got a few notifications while going around a few monoliths without checking. The item is a Font of the Erased.

Once I do, I find out that I have 7 dots out of 11 placed and they all went into Endurance. 7 dots in a row and no other affix!
