Question: About Soul Cage mobs

Are soul cages supposed to flip 180-degree direction in less than a second?
This example is based on a wall-hung clock using 12 as up 3 as right 6 as down 9 as left.

I had three soul cages follow me moving from 9 to 3. I was stalling for them to begin their breath before I made a counter-clockwise turn from 3 to 12. All three stopped in place started their breaths facing the 3. I attacked them from the 12 o’clock position without them moving. I started to move from 12 to 9 to continue the assault, then the set pivoted from 3 to 9 without moving at all catching me in their breath as it just ended. I survived but this seems to be odd behavior for something that moves so slow.

I’m not sure if they’re “supposed” to, but they certainly do. If you’re very close to a mob & move round them very quickly (by Lunging or Shifting to a mob on the other side for example) then they certainly will rotate to follow you at an unreasonable pace. It’s not an issue if they’ve started to cast/channel their attack but before then it’s certainly an annoyance.

Alright, good to know I am not the only one to notice this behavior. Hopefully my description made sense so that the devs that read these boards can look it too it. Cheers.

I think this only happens for a brief period, while they are still in some sort of “wind-up animation”, but the first few vfx of the cone breath are already coming out of their mouths.

I personally never had this issue, once they really were using the ability.
Just for the start/wind-up animation.
