Does Future Strike work on spells as well? I’m playing around with a Smite VK. The tooltip for it is a bit vague, it just says “Whenever you hit an enemy”, and doesn’t specifically say “Melee”, so I assume that it does?
Yes, any skill that hits (doesn’t have the DoT tag) can proc future strike.
Future Strike is an ailment (so it can’t proc other ailments), but it’s not a DoT (so it can crit) nor is it a melee/spell/throwing attack (so it won’t be buffed by those affixes/passives), if it’s proc’d by a throwing attack then it inherits the “throwing attack” tag & can proc Smite if you have the idol that casts Smite on throwing attack hit.
