Question about Dungeons

Is it just me, or do you guys run the dungeons the first time to get the passive points and then never run them again except the temporal one if you want to imprint a legendary?

Tl;Dr: my understanding is the first dungeon is na excellent gold sink, much more valuable if you are MG. The gambling dungeon I don’t know if it has value outside of uniques only available during gambling. Time dungeon is the only “forced” one assuming you are into endgame.

I ran all of the dungeons in my first playthrough to see what they were like, and I was like huh, these are kind of neat.

And then I only ever did the time one cause you are basically forced to for gear progression. The first dungeon has interesting drops that completely get sidestepped with enough weaver points (letting the dungeon only drops drop in monos) unless you really want a decent peak of the mountain. The other dungeon has a few very unique items from the gambler but I just couldn’t be bothered, in the same way the arena has a few exclusive drops but I think I’ve only done it once.

I like he idea of the dungeons but see no reason to do them. I know the first dungeon gets used as a money sink, I don’t know about the gambling one, and the temporal one is “forced”.

Controversial, since I both loathe and enjoy them depending on how they are handled, but daily quests could go a long way to breaking up the monotony of the endgame. Could have a dungeon daily, a specific mono daily, a rifts daily etc.

How you would reward based on this, I don’t know. Either a merchant at the end of time that lets you spend “daily points” on gear, rift beast rewards, runes or glyphs, exp books, and anything else that might cut down the grind a bit.

I only mention it because I noticed that I never feel incentivized to run them.

But then, I suppose they are just there for people who want a more time-consuming challenge than just running monolith.

All in all, I like LE. But it has some flaws lol.

I agree. I feel like they are neat but are they worth it? Maybe not. Not the first game to have that problem (gw2 comes to mind), probably won’t be the last. The problem with the endgame is if you aren’t pushing monos, there isn’t as much return.

Burning avarice gloves are so rare and expensive in MG :upside_down_face:because no one farming soul gambling. Zero 2lp and only few 1lp for 100m+ gold (in legacy)
