Question about Blessing Power Roll

Is the power roll for a blessing completely random or is it influenced by the number/intensity of modifiers I have accumulated when I do the boss fight? If I add more modifiers before I do the boss, will it give me a chance of higher blessing rolls?

I managed to work out that the power roll is based on a percentage of how good the roll was e.g., if a blessing has range 20-40% and I roll 21%, this will translate to a power roll of 5% if I roll 31%, this will translate to a power roll of 55% and a roll of 40% would be a power roll of 100% (max).

But this isn’t very well explained. Or have I overlooked something?

Thanks for the link.

That explains what the power roll is, but not if it can be influenced by doing the boss with more modifiers to have a chance for higher rolls.

Cheers

I am pretty sure the power roll just rolls on each blessing the moment you unlock it. Kinda like the roll range within an items affix range within one tier. (regardless of any difficulty or modifiers)

So to get BiS you need to “farm” for the best blessing results. Which is a fair system, since you can always keep ur old blessing on top of choosing between 3 new ones

It might be nice to to have the modifiers affect the rolls … after all, they affect the quality of item drops, making items with higher tiers drop (supposedly!).

Maybe the modifiers could also affect the quality (power roll) of the blessing and then people would try bosses on higher modifiers for a chance of higher blessing rolls?

I am not totally against that idea. At least it could slightly affect the rolls in a “better favor”, but still some RNG.

But what’s the point in stating where the roll is with range? Couldn’t they just do that using the already existing shift/ctrl/alt methodology?

I fully agree.

The power roll is supposed to be a “useful number” for “player information” purposes but seems to add an unnecessary layer of confusion as it did with me before I sussed things out.
