Quest Echos Stuck Loading(no loading screen)

On trying to start Quest Echos, I get the “Loading Echo” popup, but it just hangs there. I sat on the screen for 2+ minutes, and when I hit escape, the Monolith map hid, and I was able to see myself still in the Monolith area. Pressing escape again allowed me to see the menu, but I couldn’t click Exit to Desktop, so I had to Alt+F4.

This can sometimes be resolved by verifying Steam game files
