So does this mean Forged weapons will die in 1.15 seconds from Uber Aberroth instead of 1 second? Of course things like the slam will still 1shot them and many other minions.

Ok this sounds good. Just the name… Dragon Raptor sounds a bit off? Maybe something like Fire Drake or Magma Wyrm or even just Dragon would sound better.

8 second cooldown on Fire Breath means its probably gonna be as popular as the Acid spit lmao.

Really happy to see the return of minion procced skills coming back into the design space! I hope to see some more changes than the ones already teased here, but regardless, BM is gonna have some fun builds to mess around with.

I hate to be a nitpicker but it is 33% buff. 60 / 45 = 1.33. In other words 15 is 1/3 of 45. We can say minions will do 33% more damage in 1.3 than they do in 1.2 :smiley:

Minion stances - Great!

Minion damage increase and reduction… ok-ish? They’ll still not be alive at bosses… 50% DR to 60% DR there? Try out 90% and we got a nice start, minions rush into death unlike the player.

Beastmaster changes - I can’t say anything since I have too little experience with em, so maybe good? Maybe just ‘who cares?’? Someone else can surely provide more clearance there.

The unique rolls is a good start, definitely so, that was one of the many missing things, good change, absolutely.
Filter from an item? Depends on how it’s designed, potentially great! Price-checking? Just what people asked for! Or it could be absolutely and utterly useless if EHG screws it up, this will be entirely up the the detailed implementations.

But now… the tokens.
What… the… fuck?
Bypassing favor needs? Why? Favor is never the limitation unless you either flood the market with garbage or try to use it with the absolutely broken listing prices for uniques or legendaries, which are horrendous. The whole favour mechanic is a crapshow, the merchant’s token is such a low-quality bandaid it’s another one of those facepalm moments.

And the next bandaid of the black market token is even more so a disaster. Why have rank limitations if you can simply bypass them? What are they good for then? Maybe the idea to ‘fix up the core system’ would’ve been quite a better solution, but no… instead - once again - this low quality designwork of EHG there is upheld and even more worthless effort invested into a inherently broken system.
It needs to be exchanged, there is no ‘fixing it’ in the current state, the scale is a full redesign needed.

Offline Cosmetics - Good, finally the baseline of functionality is achieved. That is nothing to praise, that should’ve been a given Day 1 of the release. But better late then never. Nice it’s finally here.

It’s a bandaid fix with a really really low quality effort from EHG. Beyond disappointing plainly spoken.

Either they trivialize the limitations or if scarce enough they have basically no meaning besides the lucky extra grab from MG… for items which are nonsensically limited anyway while others are nonsensically available depending on the state of personal progression.

How do they fare against bosses with AoE effects like Julra or Aberroth? Because the AoE effects tend to wreck minions.

The corruption isn’t really the issue for many builds, it’s the bossing ability for minions which is inadequate sadly.

Taking summoned beasts (bear, raptor, cat, scorpion) into empowered monos is currently not even remotely feasible. Clear speeds are terrible if the beasts survive at all. These changes are good, but fall way short of what is needed. It would be nice if the devs actually showed actual real world gameplay with a generic beast build in empowered monos 250+ corruption. Until that happens, I am doubtful these changes will be anywhere in the ballpark of making beasts functional.

One thing that strikes me for the Beast Master is the minion options. I can see a snake (serpent) in the logo, but there is no serpent minion that I recall. Am I missing something or is there something planned?

Yeah, thanks for the reminder, but that’s an item that can be used any any class and not really a BM thing.

Serpent Strike can also summon a snake.

Equipped items need to look like they do on the item card. How this isn’t already the way it works is dumbfounding. I’ve spent a FORTUNE on this game because the characters wearing items look so sh!t. My dude looks like cardboard oatmeal grey blah bullsh!t without $70 worth of cosmetics on. That’s a sh!tty way to force people into the store.

Yeah, sort of but it’s still not a normal summon, it relies on a skill to “have a chance” to summon. With the logo it gives the impression that a “serpent-style” of minion can be summoned like the Raptor or Saber Tooth also depicted.

I was just pointing out it stands out as if it’s a base ability to summon like the other two.

Wow poor primalist update, unless patch note brings some “more hp / more dmg” stuff then it was fake news on the hype front. First time I’ve been dissapointed since changing to this game :frowning:

damn i was going circle of fortune this time cause i alternate between the two each new season but these changes might make me play MG again.

I personally recommend to not bother, it’ll be broken in a month again like usual, even without an exploit.

The Gold limit and a lack of resource sink causes the mechanic to break down inherently… sadly so. EHG can fix everything they want but those are the most important things, good that price check options are coming and that the unique roll-range automatically showcases similar items… but that alone won’t do anything when the core issues aren’t handled.
