Quality of Life, Dungeon & Other Improvements | Coming to Last Epoch April 17th

Which insane person sells a red ring for 5 mil? Must’ve been a random lucky drop from someone without knowledge.

They go for several hundred million usually.

Also as for ‘how fast’ it would be? A day of farming, that’s it. That’s not much for basically playing a ‘full different character’, less time then making a new char definitely, and the higher you go the more extreme it becomes given the upsides of switching builds when you get respective powerful gear aligned with one.

And especially it’s an issue because MG exists. MG has a massive upside in doing that in the first place, because you get gold faster in MG.

Hence the mastery respec combined with the current faction state is plainly spoken… atrocious in design.

Yea well, i think that Ross mentioned that Procedurally Generated tech is most likely to be expanded on other areas too than just tombs & cemeteries. I think dungeons are top of the list after they see how these play out.

So thats why maybe ”fix the dungeons” wasnt implemented now.

Or there is other new tech coming for dungeons that wasnt available before (2019 unity engine limitations)

Based on my incredibly unoptimized lv 64 test it would be 14 hours at 6.5 minute mono runs earning ~8k gold. 1.2k gold per minute. And again, horribly unoptimized as I picked up gear to sell and was full clearing the map instead of moving on as fast as possible. 1m gold is more than likely about 9-10 hours on average for standard play and 6-7 hours when focused solely on making as much gold as possible in the shortest amount of time. Significantly faster than leveling a new character from lv 1

Amazing Work Guys i´m hyped !! <3

No, these items cannot be traded.
There really isn’t much of a reason, maybe a super niche case where a person wants to see how many keys/glyphs they have farmed in a run but even then you can just see the number in your glyph stash before/after the run…

One design choice I don’t agree with: Mastery Respec
Will see and test how it goes… Wouldn’t use anyway, so maybe won’t be so bothering… :tipping_hand_woman:

You probably haven’t seen the threads that were posted after the mastery respec announcement that asked for a loadout/armoury style quick switch mechanic to more easily switch between builds. So it’s not a slippery slope, it’s an inevitability that if you make something easier some people will ask for more stuff to be made easier.

Hence, his comment isn’t paranoia because people have already asked for it.

Also, a sophism is a false argument deliberately used to decieve which isn’t the case. Heavy’s not posting this because he actually wants the opposite or he’s fucking with you or something, he’s genuinely concerned & it’s not an unreasonable concern. That’s why I disagree with sweeping his concerns aside as a sophism.

No, the monolith webs/corruption levels are still specific to characters. It’s just that the monos will be unlocked for other characters so you don’t need to slog through them all again, if you don’t want to.

PoE2 0.2.0 seems to be a dumpster fire, and you guys go on and drop THIS?

A cluster bomb of awesomeness.
While I personally disagree with mastery respec, I don’t really care all that much.

The rest however, are so good I think I depleted my approval reserves for months.
And with D4 and PoE2 so meh and PoE1 neglected I will have plenty of time to devote to LE.

Im so hyped… insane!

POOOOOG looks really good

when can we expected patch notes today ?

very good craft changes. 10/10

They day before the day after?

They say the full patch notes will be released 11.04 which is today but they didnt say what time

The past few days all “hype” posts were published at the same exact time (5:59 PM, but I don’t know if that’s in my local time [I’m UTC+2] or not), so I guess patch notes will be released at that hour as well.

Well done EHG & the dev team behind this!

You have picked n chooses the right direction for the players!!!

The long six months are definitely worth the wait!

That’s literally a slippery slope argument, though. Just because we get X doesn’t mean we inevitably will get Y. People have asked for mastery respecs for years - Just because we’re getting them doesn’t mean we’re also going to get one-button swapping specs also… His exact words:

Like, you can’t deny that’s a slippery slope argument unless you’re choosing to just be obtuse for argument’s sake. Lol

According to Oxford:
soph·ism /ˈsäˌfizəm/ noun noun: sophism; plural noun: sophisms a fallacious argument, especially one used deliberately to deceive.

So, no, a sophism is a fallacious argument in general. The ‘especially’ is important in that definition.

Regardless, It’s fair to have the concerns, but Heavy’s post is definitely a slippery slope argument, and we can argue whether the definition of sophism fits his post or not.

EHG team:

Have you guys implemented any optimizations with the stash? When I have lots of tabs (like 10 to 15+) and I click the stash, the game freeze for 3 to 5 seconds before opening. Clicking between tabs has a 1-3 second delay as well.

The QoL on the inventory alone has me hyped for season 2. Well done LE

That’s the point.
But to put it into perspective: That slope is veeeeery slippery :stuck_out_tongue:

Because Class > Mastery > Build.
The class is the most fundamental aspect of your character.
The Mastery is a very fundamental aspect still, but not as much.
And the specific build? That one’s the least fundamental piece, most interchangeable after all.

So… why provide respec for mastery but no loadouts? Would make sense given changes would otherwise be a bother, right?
