Quality of Life, Dungeon & Other Improvements | Coming to Last Epoch April 17th

They day before the day after?

They say the full patch notes will be released 11.04 which is today but they didnt say what time

The past few days all “hype” posts were published at the same exact time (5:59 PM, but I don’t know if that’s in my local time [I’m UTC+2] or not), so I guess patch notes will be released at that hour as well.

Well done EHG & the dev team behind this!

You have picked n chooses the right direction for the players!!!

The long six months are definitely worth the wait!

That’s literally a slippery slope argument, though. Just because we get X doesn’t mean we inevitably will get Y. People have asked for mastery respecs for years - Just because we’re getting them doesn’t mean we’re also going to get one-button swapping specs also… His exact words:

Like, you can’t deny that’s a slippery slope argument unless you’re choosing to just be obtuse for argument’s sake. Lol

According to Oxford:
soph·ism /ˈsäˌfizəm/ noun noun: sophism; plural noun: sophisms a fallacious argument, especially one used deliberately to deceive.

So, no, a sophism is a fallacious argument in general. The ‘especially’ is important in that definition.

Regardless, It’s fair to have the concerns, but Heavy’s post is definitely a slippery slope argument, and we can argue whether the definition of sophism fits his post or not.

EHG team:

Have you guys implemented any optimizations with the stash? When I have lots of tabs (like 10 to 15+) and I click the stash, the game freeze for 3 to 5 seconds before opening. Clicking between tabs has a 1-3 second delay as well.

The QoL on the inventory alone has me hyped for season 2. Well done LE

That’s the point.
But to put it into perspective: That slope is veeeeery slippery :stuck_out_tongue:

Because Class > Mastery > Build.
The class is the most fundamental aspect of your character.
The Mastery is a very fundamental aspect still, but not as much.
And the specific build? That one’s the least fundamental piece, most interchangeable after all.

So… why provide respec for mastery but no loadouts? Would make sense given changes would otherwise be a bother, right?

Yeah I was wrong… they made the gold cost WAAAAAYYY too cheap, sad to see to be honest, I had hoped 1 million gold would be a lower lever character but apperantly its at level 100 (basically nothing at that point)

hyped

Yep

Some really nice changes, can’t wait.

Thank you for making a great game. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of the supporter packs😃.

I’m so excited for this update, can’t wait playing

De vision is a good band, the vision perhaps is not really, “but it’s not surely” ( a russian expression)

Nice,good job!

Glad to see the potion change - asked for that years ago. Other changes look good, too. Gonna be a big cycle.

From Season 2, new short quests have been added that reward 2 Passive Points and unlock 1 Idol Slot for defeating each Dungeon’s Boss. These quests will also direct players to the Alternate Dungeon Exits, bypassing parts of the Campaign.

Does this mean these are “extra” unlocks for people playing whole campaign or are they somehow only available if you’re skipping through?

So in the game as is, there are actually about 24 passive points that you get from side quests. However a character can only gain a maximum of 15 passive points from quests, so a character can skip a significant number of those side quests with no real penalty. It’s a similar story for idol inventory upgrades.

The new quests for dungeon skips just means that the act of completing a dungeon also contributes to reaching those maximums. So now when using dungeon skips it’s a bit easier than before to hit those maximums without backtracking.
