Loving the game. It’s like the Diablo II-type game that I didn’t know existed until I saw it on Steam.
That said, there’s a couple things I think that would improve the user experience.
If I set my LMB to Move or Attack once for a character, I don’t want to have to set it again every single time I log into that character. As of right now, I have to.
I sometimes leave the game running in the background while I’m doing other things; while it doesn’t impact performance, it is annoying when the game keeps playing sound while the background, particularly when I’m in town and the NPC I’m near keeps repeating the same line. My suggestion would be either reduce the frequency of NPCs saying their lines, or provide an audio option where the game doesn’t play sounds when in the background.
For the love of god, subtitles please. I’ve enjoyed the voice acting so far, but having subs would make it a lot easier to follow what’s being said.
Auto-sorting into stash would be nice; if I’ve got a tab in the stash that I’ve designated for crafting materials, it’s be nice for the game to be able to filter the crafting materials directly into that tab.
Separate bindings for multiple thumb buttons on the mouse; I’ve got two thumb buttons, and the game thinks they’re the same one.
A way to preview what options specializing in a skill will give a player without forcing them to commit to it. Not every player is going to check online for info, so it’d be nice to give the player the option to see what they might get before they commit.
I’m sure I’ll think of other things as I play more, but these are the ones that stand out to me about 3 hours into the game.
At the bottom of the inventory is a “store crafting mats” button which moves them all over to the crafting stash. It even has a glowy edge when you have crafting mats in your inventory.
It would be nice if hovering over the nodes for a few seconds brought up a pair of dps tooltip, the current one and one with a point in the node. That said, the nodes do already say what they’ll do and have in blue text at the bottom of the tooltip what changes with more points.
Edit: Just read what you actually wrote for the last one. You can use a skill without specialising it and you can see the skill tree without specialising it.
Also, if I may add something to avoid creating a new single-issue thread: it’d be great to be able to mouse click on the portal rather than having to press T on the keyboard.
