QoL suggestions for the monolith map in 0.8.2

just a few thoughts about things that would be nice to have on the new monolith screen

  • a search bar for locating certain modifiers or rewards or layouts… hovering over each echo gets a little tedious for long sessions

  • instead of one info panel showing the currently hovered echo’s mods and rewards, it would be nice to have two info panels: one that shows the currently selected echo, and one that shows the currently hovered echo. several times after playing for a while, i have selected an echo, then after moving my mouse off of it, completely forgotten what it does/is/has. obviously a bit of a deficit on my end there, but having a persistent display of the currently selected echo would eliminate the problem.

here’s a quick and dirty example of how the real estate for a second display exists, it just requires some changes to the spacing/size and some way of distinguishing between selected and hovered.

  • be able to access the monolith web from the map menu. when i need to go to the end of time between echoes, i can open a portal from echo of a world and then take it back, or use the map to travel between the two places. it’s workable but would feel much better if you could access the monolith web without sitting through a loading screen. this is probably way more of a hassle for players that are not on an SSD, but i think everyone would appreciate it.
