Today I want to describe my suggestion for making the game more interesting without “destroying the character concept”:
example - mage > sorc , spellblade , runemaster each of these classes is based on lightning , cold , fire which is understandable but why not add something like in the picture I attached https://imgur.com/a/7jCmJwo such a thing we can apply to any character.
It is possible to add something like this to any character without spoiling its main premise.
This would revitalize many characters and many skills , many times we are forced to take a bad conversion just because there are interesting bonuses behind it why not give us players a choice of what a skill will be converted to?
Of course, here we are talking only about skillets that have a conversion to some other damage than the one they have assigned at the start.
I like the build flexibility afforded by damage conversion nodes, so expanding on that would be good. They could also do what Grim Dawn does and have a bunch of unique items that change the damage type of abilities.
There are already such unique items in the game but in most cases their base is totally unused in a given build because there are better items in its place
