Profanity filter needed? ChatAI super repressive lately

After 6 hard days without this rly nice raw diamond of a game i logged on again, and tried to communicate within the GER global Chat.
I was stunned bei the newely appeared strictness regarding chatlanguage.
I had to repeat my recommandation of a YT-Channel through private messaging about eight times till the ChatAI allowed my message to reach its recipient, although free of any ‘profane’ language. (profanity filter disabled since i bought the game)
The false detection of toxic language is getting a greater challenge than t4 content or higher grades of corruption. If you are prohibited to socialize, looking for grps- and communication itself - is nearly Impossible.
Example: The common word ‘Twink’ for a side Charakter is flagged because of his sexual meaning. In an ActionRPG Videogame? This and a lot of other common Words in the Language of Gaming ppl. are affected imo.
Long Story Short: Could the Chatflow be improved through loosening the strictness of the ChatAI?
Thanks in Advance

Yeah, the filter is a bit iffy. You are not the first to complain about this…

The problem with some of the stuff filtered, is the strictness directly leads to people being toxic to marginalized groups as well. People will easily blame and attack those groups, instead of going ‘hey maybe the devs were too strict’.

The idea of the approach to the filter is cool. The implementation is nieve and shows theres a desperate need for someone who has experience with this stuff to be there taking lead on this stuff.

I mean we have a super over the top filter system, before we have the ability to easily report people. And we’ve been being told we’ll get a report system ‘soon’ for over a year. At a certain point good faith on the chat stuff runs out, and realistically it already has. Anyone expecting it to work is in for a shock, it’s majorly low on there priority list, and realistically the filter being so over the top is probably their force answer to dealing with it, so they can put their time into other stuff, as again it’s pretty clear no one there who has any experience with this stuff is taking lead on it.

My guess would be they grabbed a list of words from some charity group, and just threw the entire thing in without looking through it themselves, or at least searching for various terms that have multiple meanings. Which is a terrible way to do stuff. Always has been, always will be. Im guessing for people trying to talk not in english, chats probably barely useable.

The problem with the chat is obvious. The filter does not pass a huge number of most common words. We often have to look for synonyms.

Sometimes I think they just got hold of the Urban Dictionary word list and decided if anything exists in that list then ***** it out.

Except that’s not what happens, they just block the entire message; I’m pretty sure we’d all be fine with asterisks, but turning off the filter and still being told the 50 words we just typed are offensive and won’t be sent is just stupid.

Was making a joke dude… its too silly to try and guess at what the hell the current system is trying to do and failing.
