I ran into a problem with crafting, just upgraded my shield and I forgot to re-equip it. Started a monolith and while running it I lunged at an enemy which aparantly was underneath the map, which caused me to get stuck. Had to exit the game to fix it. When I came back my shield was gone.
I lost my boots too this way. Crafting windows should keep items on logout.
or even better: get puts back in your inventory when you close the window
