Primal Wolf is still active after i Respecced out of it and removed the skill from my hotbar.
I replaced Summon Wolf with Summon raptor in that particular Specialization slot. Then i replaced Summon Wolf on my hotbar with War Cry.
I then proceeded to move to a new zone and noticed that the wolf and his companion portrait were still active and engaging in combat.
