Exactly as the title says: Pressing B on controller to leave the inventory menu also equips any highlighted items.

Currently this game is unplayable on controller for me. I just bought this game recently, specifically to play with controller - so I hope this and other issues get fixed, otherwise I will be seeking a refund.

Just want to bump this as it happens to me as well. Accidentally salvaged the wrong item just now, thinking it was another one in my item, but i had equipped the chest piece i was intending to salvage
