Possible Firebrand Bug

I’m going to admit up front that I’m not super well versed in LE and so this could be my own misunderstanding, but it sure seems like a bug on my end.

I converted Firebrand from fire to lightning with Galvanize, and its secondary effect states that all Ignite chance from the tree should be converted to shock chance, and all effects related to ignite should now depend on shock instead. The problem is that I don’t believe it’s actually working. I currently have 0% ignite chance on my items, and none of my skills other than Firebrand grant ignite chance. I have Flare specced to give me +40% ignite chance, and Crossfire specced to give me +10% ignite chance per Firebrand stack. If the skill was working correctly that should have changed to shock chance, but when I attack the target dummy in camp, my ignite chance rises from 0% to 100% but my shock chance doesn’t change. I know for sure it’s not a visual glitch either, since the dummy catches on fire and starts burning for ignite damage per second. The dummy does sometimes become shocked because I have shock chance on gear and idols, but when I remove all of it the dummy never gets shocked, only ignited.

I was trying to build my Firebrand for Exothermic and Incineration, so that Flame Reave would consume all the stacks and get +100% shock chance per stack. I don’t know if that would actually work, since I don’t know if Exothermic’s stack consumption works with Incineration’s. It’s possibly that my idea wouldn’t have worked either way: some confirmation on that would be nice as well. But for sure the stats that should be stacking up shock chance aren’t converting like they’re supposed to. Again, maybe it’s my own misunderstanding causing the confusion, but Galvanize seems pretty cut and dry about what it does, and it’s definitely not converting Firebrand’s ignite chance/effects to shock chance/effects. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

The ignite chance converted to shock chance probably wouldn’t show up as shock chance even if it were working (Maehlin’s gloves don’t change the bleed chance to ignite chance on your character sheet) which it doesn’t sound like it is.

Exothermic/Incineration should convert the ignite to shock, the devs have confirmed that’s how it’s intended to work.
