I know this has been reported in 2019 and the post has been closed.
You are able to portal while in The Council Chambers, if you click on the portal while in town it will take you back to where your portal is in The Council Chambers, but it will play the dialog when you first discover the town and will essentially freeze your game.
We’re aware that you can portal while in town-- it’s not a priority yet since we have other technical changes for portals to make in the future.
I tried it just now and didn’t experience the game freezing / getting stuck. If that happens again could you please upload your log file? Thanks!
