Build Breakdown

Overview

Today we have the Polar Bear Werebear build for the druid coming back and he is a beefy boy. Last Epoch 0.8.4 Saw massive changed to both druid and Werebear. this build is fun and can do any content but it is vastly different from old werebear. We us Maul and Rampage to do most of our damage Swipe is a filler but is very lack luster. We use warcry to make use of the freeze and enemies take more damage when frozen. We proc upheaval from maul which does some pretty good damage as well!
This build is super tanky and feels like a big beefy bear.

Conclusion

Final Thoughts

This build can do really well in any content. but you have to forget the old way of playing Werebear. Swipe feels not good to use anymore. most of your damage will come from maul, rampage and upheaval. swipe if to just use while upheaval is on cd and get more shred stacks. Werebear feels really slow now I think the damage should be tuned up higher to compensate for how slow he is. Rampage is a great skill but it is hard to aim to hit enemies sometimes. Other than that werebear was fun. Might do lightning next I have some great ideas for it.

Hey, thanks for the build! Wondering why I’m unable to import your lootfilter since this update. Copying raw data and it won’t let me import it ingame. Thoughts?

I have been having trouble importing in game . I will try adding another pastebin link. If that doesn’t work. Then I recommend exporting the loot filter from the build planner then convert it into a xml doc. then move it into your filter folder under C:\Users{unsername}\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Filters

Also had that issue with lootfilter from his forum post, but the lootfilter from his youtube movie works for me: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><ItemFilter xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2 - Pastebin.com

Just changed the one in the vid about to change the one here too thanks for letting us know it works

Hey! It worked, not sure if it was you or today’s update. Thanks a lot for the quick reply!

Glad it is working now!

Is it just me or the 3 Trapper nodes you picked in Swipe for Slow not being used. You didn’t select the Slow for Upheaval so i’m not sure if you’re even triggering that condition on enemies, thus loosing 3 passives in swipe. In theory, in your play preview we’d see the snail symbol along side of the bleed and other conditions being applied to enemies when you hit. Did i miss them?

to be honest we aren’t really using swipe in the build much the damage is pretty low. just running around ang using maul is good to skill most things it helps with bosses though. But getting slow on gear will make up for this.

so which version is stronger; this one or the cold dot version?

Never played the cold dot version. This one is mainly a maul centric playstyle.
