When I remove a point from Falcon Mastery to reclaim a point to reassign to another modifier on the tree, the point disappears. Usually it gives me the point back and I can just reassign it to another modifier on the tree. Twice the point has just disappeared.
Is this intentional? Like respeccing a mastery skill point makes you take an xp loss on that skill meaning its possible to lose points on a skill by respeccing?
It is intentional. You lose a level when you respec a point. There is a minimum level though, that’s why it doesn’t always do it.

In the future I’ll wait until I have a skill point to put in to what I want to respec my skill to in case I lose a point.
Do you know what the minimum skill level is? I was only level 27 and my mastery skills were still pretty low as I’m early in the leveling process.
I think the minimum depends on your characters level but it should say the minimum if you go into your specific skill tree where the exp bar is for the skill. For my lvl 53 character, the minimum is 7.
