Please tell me there is plans to add cold damage options to Golem & Volatile zombies?

Hi there,

Just as title says I’ve been working on my cold dmg Necro Summoner but I am a little disappointed that there is not an option for cold damage on the Golem and Volatile Zombie. Atm I have done the necrotic zombie with blood golem but it just does not sit with me well for my cold Necro theme in my head. So please I hope you look at adding some skill passives to help with this in the future thanks for reading EHG.

PS: hope this is the right section for the thread?

First and foremost welcome to the community!

I can see why you would want those damage types for minions, that currently don’t have it, because that damage type is available to other minions.

But on the other hand, having the same damage types for the majority of similar skills (in this case necro summons) also takes away a lot of the identity of those skills, that already have it IMO.

There are already a lot of uniques out there, that enable certain conversions (for other type of builds) and Acolyte is still missing Warlock, so maybe there will be more cold summon or general cold support (depending if Warlock will have Cold as a damage type fantasy). Or maybe there will be some uniques.

But from the design philosophy of EHG so far I would say, there is little chance, that those skills get a base cold conversion.
This obviously is only my opinion and I could be wrong with that and EHG might have plans for this.
This is also not to take anything away from you suggestions and I wanted to just give you some insight, because there are a lot of other masteries/skills that follow a similar theme, where onyl a handful skills have certain damage types.

Thanks Heavy  I appreciate your reply. Currently I’m pushing Empowered corruption 100 and to be honest I am struggling a bit, my Necro is lvl 100 and I am still trying to cap all resists like phys and void everything else capped. I use Exsanguinis, Reach of the grave and last steps of the living for my uniques and I am currently farming for Ravens Rise gloves. My build does not really have room for other uniques that will probably make my resists non existant. Cold conversion is just not the same imo it doesn’t have the visual effect of cold so really doesn’t do it for me, don’t get me wrong I am doing a little cold conversion already with idols & the boots. I do hope warlock has something in there if they don’t add to the specific skills. Just seems silly to me that they have cold for both types of skeletons but not the others and they all have necrotic and fire. Seemed like more of an oversight to me and being such a new game I don’t believe things are set in stone yet. It’s just very hard to do good damage when you are having to focus on two elements rather than one, jack of all trades master of none type thing. If you are aware of anything that converts necrotic damage to cold please let me know as I got this game as my Xmas pressie to myself so this is only my second week playing it. Again thanks for taking interest in my post I do appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me

If playing empowered feels too much of a struggle, there is nothing wrong with going back to normal and get some better gear/blessings.
You can also push corruption in normal timelines, to increase the enemy levels and if you reach 50 corruption you also get a 4th blessing choice, in case you are still huting for some decnt blessings.

Don’t stress yourself out too much over resistances.
Resistances are way less important in LE than in other games. They are just another defensive layer among many others.

I agree, that there is a big difference between real conversions and jsut adding a damage type to skills.

I don’t know if it’s an oversight or not, but as I said already, EHG does want skills to be and feel special and unique in their own right.
And giving too many skills the same damage types, can really rob a lot of identity from a lot of those skills.
There are a lot of other masteries that have access to certain damage types on a few skills, but not on others.
If too many skills have the exact same damage types, builds can feel very “replaceable”.

This is not really true for minions through in LE.

The vast majority of “%increased minion damage” is generic damage increase without specific damage types in LE.

Only thing I would want to make you aware of would be the Unique Amulet Frozen Eyes of Formosus.
Not sure if you know this exists, but since you already have Last Steps Of The Living, you at least defeated the boss that drops it once.

You’re welcome, don’t hesitate to ask, if you have any questions.

One thing I just generally would like to point out is.
In case you are not aware of it, if you are In-Game you can press [G] to open the Game Guide, it’s an amazing In-Game ressource, that has a lot of useful information in it.

Oh yes!! I almost forgot that I wanted that amulet thank you! I think the thing that puts me off boss uniques is it takes so long to get to the boss after doing like 70+ echo’s. But thanks ill add that to my list of banging my head against wall things to get like these gloves that apparently are in the game. I started doing Empowered due to the uniques I needed only dropping from Empowered versions of the echo’s or bosses. I’ve also been trying to get Exsanguinis with LP on it, I have to say it seems almost impossible atm as I’ve only had two drop for me and none with any LP on them. Thanks again Heavy I wish you all the best.

Do you keep going deeper in a Timeline after you defeated the boss?
If you let your echo web developed and don’t reset it via Shade, the amount of echoes needed to unlock the boss greatly reduces.

Just try going deeper and stay deep, this more than halves the amount of echoes needed.

On a normal timeline you need lime 20-25 echoes to unlock the boss, but after going deep enough in the echo web you can reduce this to below 15 echoes.

Raven’s Rise are fairly rare.
Your best chances would be farming Ending the Storm for “Unique/Set Gloves” Echoes.

You can combine farming Exsanguinous with LP and getting the Amulet, while also trying to get very good rolled Last Steps of the Living.

All of these Items drop from the same timeline (Blood, Frost & Death has Unique/Set Body Armour Echoes).

To reliably farm those unique/set echoes you definitely want as high corruption as possible, so either 50 corruption normal or 100 corruption empowered would be the minimum to keep the amount of unique/set echoes as high as possible.

If you getting stronger definitely try higher corruption MoF.

Hey Heavy,

Yeah I do, I know the outer echoes give 40-48 stability so I always head out towards an edge till I get one of those reset thingies hitting all the unique ones I can as well. Problem is this takes a long time once you have done all the good nodes as well then when you do the story quests to kill the boss it resets it so you have to do all that again it’s painful. I tried again today to get the amulet no luck unfortunately just another pair of Last steps however I did hit a unique chest node and low and behold Exsanguinis with 3 LP dropped! I almost cried. I’ve been farming for that damn thing for days.

I also changed back to Fire instead of cold it was doing less dmg than fire but fire is not much better tbh.

I spent all day today there and yesterday as well giving it a break for now before I start despising those things.

I’m sticking with Empowered 100 corruption as the drops are better and I only die when there is some crazy stuff like 3 siege spires or heaps of the nasty buggers on beetles who throw those fire lances, so doing okay its a bit slow due to my lag and probably slow dps but its doable.

That is amazing, you will be able to make that thing outstanding.

Just don’t be too hasty and take your time finding/crafting a good exalted body Armour!

I wish I had your patience Lol! here I already did it … Necromancer, Level 100 (LE Beta 0.8.4e) - Last Epoch Build Planner

I really don’t wanna sound mean, but that is a wasted 3LP Exsanguinous >. >

Anything with Flat Health, %Health, Int or Vitality would have been waaaaaay more synergistic.

Yeah I thought about it after I did it like I said wish I had your patience.

Getting another 3 LP Exsanguinous is very very unlikely and I am sure that you might not appreciate that drop enough to realize how wasted your craft was :stuck_out_tongue:
How many 0LP, 1LP or 2LP ones you have gotten before your 3LP one?

Again I don’t wanna sound mean, but when someone is extremely lucky with certain drops they may not fully grasp how rare some things are.

You might not see another 3 LP Exsanguinous ever again^^

Don’t tell me that, the thing I hate about crafting in this game is you cannot choose what stats to go on it and its very RNG.

I did have a chest piece with intellect, Health and something else cant remember but I was not sure if health and vitality do much with it as it drains the health and gives ward but I guess the ward scales off the max health?

Id be happy to get another with just 2 LP but yeah I have 4 of them and that’s the only one that had any LP on it. At the end of the day I guess I’m new to the game and I am still learning and you do some silly things when your still learning.

Maximum Health does ALOT for exsanguinous/last steps of the living/Shroud of obscurity ward gain.

Just 12 Vitality(which are 120 flat health) can result in 30-40 more Ward per second, if you use both body Armour and boots.

Theoretically if you have vitality, health and %health, that can be 300-500 extra health which will result in a few hundred ward/sec.

Also Int would give you Ward retention, which would also increase the maximum Ward you can accumulate.

okay good to know thanks ill keep an eye out for another and a better exalted for nxt time.
