Please, fix EVERY UI clunkiness before anything else

I have been playing the game a lot lately and I like it, I like the speed, the game design decisions are good enough, and I think it is overall a good game. What gives me a bad taste on the mouth are the dozens of UI problems.

When you open the stash, the tab you last clicked should be the tab stash you start if I close the stash and open it again. Now it is set to the tab that last had some modification to it.

If you have a stash/vendor/any ui element present on the screen, miss clicking a button should not move your character. The miss click should not go through the window as a normal click.

The order I choose for my stash tabs should be honored. This game is about inventory management. It is infuriating to order things a certain way and come back later to have it unordered again.

Dragging and dropping stash tabs can be a pain because it doesn’t work properly. I think there is something going on with client side state and server side state being different.

If I’m browsing some item in the market, and I go to my stall, when I come back it should be in the state I left, instead of a new ordering (it is set to default to newest first on the stall back button).

We desperately need more cursor options. I cant find my cursor many many times during a gameplay session.

Clicking altars should be more forgiving. Many many times I cant find my cursor, and when I find my cursor, I cant find the altar click box.

I know UI state management is hard, I’m a tech CEO myself, but having the UI polished would drastically improve perception of the game and overall experience.

Agreed, some of these issues have been frustrating me since launch.

Yes, the current behavior is not intuitive, nor is the tab edit moving it to another spot. Add to that the randomly changing tab order you mentioned, combined with using Quick View in stash, and yeah it’s a rather inconsistent system currently. Lots of little issues that happen daily.

This is a big one also when using the Quick View scrollbar handle. If your cursor goes over the right edge of the scrollbar as you are holding down the scrollbar handle, you will start running away from the stash and then it closes due to distance. Happens multiple times every day. This should match Windows and web browser behavior, where you have about a 130px safe zone on both sides of the scrollbar, because it was understood early on that your attention is elsewhere when holding the scrollbar button down. It’s not meant to be an exercise in aiming.

Related to this, there are still a lot of UI elements that you can just click through entirely. The Woven Enchanter UI for example clicks through directly to the stash quick view, so instead of putting that idol in the slot, it changes the quick view tab to whatever happens to be underneath in the layer behind the woven enchanter UI. Currently the UI doesn’t do a good job of respecting the layer you are actively using.
