Hello!
Recently, we heard that you might be considering changing the corruption scaling with difficulty tiers, similar to how Diablo III handled its difficulty system.
The fact that Last Epoch doesn’t have a tier based difficulty system is one of the things I love about this game. Without a specific difficulty tier to reach, we don’t feel like we’re being left behind or that we don’t belong to the “big boys club” just because we haven’t reached the highest difficulty level. It also means we’re not missing out on the endgame experience simply because we can’t push our characters to the absolute limit. I also think this approach gives players more freedom to enjoy the game at their own pace. Not every build needs to be capable of pushing the highest possible corruption.
For me, one of the best things about LE is that progression feels personal. You keep pushing further as your character gets stronger, and you decide when you’ve reached a comfortable limit. I’d hate to see that replaced by a system where reaching a certain tier becomes the main measure of success.
I love playing with people stuck on 100 corruption and i love to see “freaks” pushing 10k+ corruption also.
I’d love to hear what other players think about this.
Thanks for reading!
