Please disable auto controller detection/swap

This has got to be one of the most frustrating things to deal with. Last Epoch will randomly detect my HOTAS sim controller which are not in use at all and completely disable the ability to even use ESC.

i am forced to just alt f4 the game.

Just had this issue on first startup of the game. Had to troubleshoot to see what the problem is. Was able to enter my initial information by plugging a controller in then unplugging so it would use my keyboard mouse. Got into settings saw that it was seeing my throttle as a input device. Deleted that, went to check other setting. Half way through it redetected something maybe my throttle again. Everything locked up and had to ALT f4. I don’t really plan on unplugging my flight sim stuff for this game. The friend I bought a copy of this game for also won’t want to have to unplug his flight sim stuff for this game. Luckily the issue pops up early so people are still within their return window.

Same issue and reddit etc. is full of people experiencing this issue, in one other game they solved this really easy:

To disable controller input in other game on PC, you can disable this for the game in Steam’s properties, just add the “-NoGamepad” launch option

Please add something like this for this game, it’s just a shame. I really love this game but everytime I’m like a “let’s play it” then I think about all the pheriperals I have to unplug (6+ devices which are neatly tie-wrapped and hidden behind my pc which I can barely get to). I’m like “Naaah to much work”. and no Powered USB-hubs with buttons to disable individual devices do not work for me. Some devices don’t work correctly over those hubs somehow, Tried multiple of them in the past.

All in all it seems easy enough to fix with a launch option or another way to easily disable auto-detection and besides that. even if it auto-detects the device the game should not override settings automatically when something was disabled by hand.
