Please buff endurance, it was far too weak and then you don't have to destroy ward

Ward seems really hard to nerf in a good way because of how the mechanism works.
Instead, can we just buff endurance? Now you get similar benefits from it to armour, but you have to invest in both endurance % and #, which are separate attributes, compared to armour where they stack. So double the investment for the same benefit. It’s cool that it works differently from armour, so we just need better numbers:

  • The max endurance % should be 75% instead of 60%
  • The gain from endurance stats should be doubled, or at least allow idols to roll increased effect of endurance modifiers.

Another way to buff it would be to remove the endurance threshold stat and calculate it by the endurance %. Then you’d still get a benefit from increasing the endurance % above 60. It would make gearing a lot nicer, because then when you can get endurance % to 80 or 90, it would still help you as endurance activates sooner. It would also buff life, as it also increases your endurance threshold.

Have the developers said anything about the balance of endurance? Seems to me it’s obviously way too weak. There’s also not a single build that advises getting endurance. For good reason.

The irony being, Endurance was always a go to defence back in the day. Oh how the turn tables…

It doesn’t use Endurance as a defensive stat, but as a way to get Ward. And his lifepool is only 1k, with 6k resting Ward. So the defensive contribution of Endurance to his build is less than 10%.

Until he gets a big hit that removes his ward & he’s left with just life. Endurance is always a defensive mechanic of last resort. For that build with the endurance threshold of ~800 odd & a hp of ~1k it’s affecting the majority of his hp if he takes a hit large enough to get rid of all his ward.

I don’t follow build guides or creatores, so not sure what the typical build you encounter entails, but I use endurance on a lot of builds that heavily invest into recovery, like leech and hp regen.

You only need so much HP to avoid some oneshots but beyond that stacking more health doesn’t seve a lot of benefit with very high recovery builds.
Increasing DR in any capacity makes any point of recovery way more effiecient.

So while not every build should and would build heavily into endurance threshold, I think % endurance is a very good stat on all health builds and endurance threshold is only good for builds that really want it and that is totally ok.
