As the titel says… i would love to see more gear which looks good (in general aswell) in your supporter packs.
Supporter packs are optional but at the moment iam not feeling like buying a supporter pack.
Not because i dont want to support your game but because there is not enough in it.
I prefer a costume for my character in it. I would understerand if it is not yet the most bad ass clothing like Path of Exile has but i really care about looking good and different ingame.
At the same time i think if you would at this more people might buy those supporter packs since it would have some more value and because there are not many options yet to add new gear.
I spend tons of money on gear in Path of Exile to
1: support the game since i play it a lot.
2: i had the money to do it and because i want the game to keep growing.
3: to support the devs and the game in general.
Now i feel like there is not enough value to actually buy a supporter pack.
Ill probably still buy it in the feature when i got more money again just to support this game but it doesnt feel as rewarding as it normally does.
Again, i think you would sell more packs if you would do this. There are more people who care about looking good while supporting the game and devs at the same time.
I’m sure they will in time, I suspect they’re currently focussed on the game rather than MTX at the moment which, from a player’s perspective, is a good thing.
You’re not wrong, but considering you used PoE as the example, they only offered companion pets in their early supporter packs (Supporter pack - Path of Exile Wiki). I imagine this was done because resources are better spent developing the game play at this stage and there may not be a definitive plan for MTX at the moment.
It’s a fair point, but how well do you think the competition will go if Last Epoch doesn’t have multiplayer or dual wielding, but has a slew of great costume options? I’m not suggesting Last Epoch can ignore the progress of the ARPG genre since 2013 (due in large part to POE’s good work), but when it comes to priorities I think its universal that game play has to come before cosmetics.
In a perfect world, EHG would have an unlimited budget and a staff the size of Grinding Gears Games, and it would simply come down to design choices – but we all know that is going to take time. As I mentioned in another thread regarding the lack of cosmetics, kickstarter/beta campaigns by their nature are leaps of faith and I trust that EHG will give us something good for our money down the road.
Jeez, please no. No super ultra cool armor skins, you can just buy and wear from level 1 and have no other means to get it inside the game. I hate it in PoE, I will hate it here.
Just increase price(from 15 bucks, they are planning on release - which seems to be ridiculous, even harmful for the game) of the game and sell expansion packs.
I am not saying microntransactions do not bring tons of money, it does, but this is paid product, can we keep this shit out of this game please?
I understand but at the same time its a good thing for the player aswell if they have enough money to keep building the game right? Iam not saying they need to fill the shop with cosmetics but just 1 set at a supporter pack.
Iam really happy that the focus is on the game beside that
iam not asking for a same concept as POE does. POE needs it because its a free game.
If you buy the supporter pack to support the devs and they include an armor set it is win win for the player and the devs right?
Torchlight, Wolcen or other AA games like Remnant: From the Ashes cost more and sells quite good. If you are selling product, pricing is absolutely critical. but there are tons of studies if you price your product too low, you will sell much much less. This is nice short explanation of it:
And I believe current pricing (for release) is probably the worst it could be. It’s high enough to not convert free to play players from poorer countries but low enough to be viewed as cheap, low quality product or just some alternative game like Undertale.
I don’t think it’s win win situation but first, how it is different from PoE?
I fundamentally agree with this BUT if there are plenty of cool armor skins/sets obtainable in game I have zero problem with some exclusive sets being offered in supporter packs.
Give me plenty of ways to look badass in the game and there’s no problem if you offer a few of them in supporter packs that will help fund future development. But if you go the PoE route of everything looking like hot garbage to drive supporter pack sales…just, no. The fact that LE will be a paid game means every player should have the ability to look like a badass without additional purchases.
For the record, I also think the $15 price tag is too low. “Not from a AAA studio” shouldn’t be the only determining factor in setting a price. However, since there will be supporter packs/MTX available, the cheap price is probably fine. My only request on that front is that EHG never adds lootboxes to LE. Not even the PoE-style ones.
Also, the more the game is streamed by players on Twitch or other streaming services, the more the game will get noticed. Maybe EHG can reach out to some of the more popular POE streamers and offer the game free to them. It’s great “advertising” and will probably generate more buys/players.
I don’t think you get the point.
The supporter packs are there already right? The only thing iam suggesting is to add cosmetic armour to the existing Supporter pack. This doesnt chancge anything except maybe sales of the Supporter pack so the game could grow. Now you get a pet, but i think more people would get the supporter pack if it would have cosmetic armour. Especially because there are not many ways yet to get good looking armour. Iam not saying they need to follow the footsteps of POE in this regard. Like i said POE is a free to play game. This is not. So i prefer aswell that the focus stays on the gameplay and getting good looking game for free ingame.
I do get a point, and I prefer, if support packs would stay how they are. I really don’t want see some “super cool stuff” behind another mtx paywall.
That’s why I am strongly against it i would prefer if price would be much higher and sell frequent expansion packs. Maybe there is point to make that PoE armor sets are super ugly compared to supporter armor sets and it’s not case in LE, but i still don’t like the idea. Feel free to disagree of course.
they will not do this while it is in beta still. they will have mtx when the game launches inn cosmetic forms and the coins you get for purchasing your supporter packs will go to that when the game launches and the release cosmetics.
