Please add Autocast functionality

I play on a mac - no numlock - so can’t do an easy work-around for auto casting. I have one skill I would like to autocrats - flame ward. There are sensible and easy ways to enable this, such as a small toggle underneath each skill key, or in the “Change Input Keys” menu. Or perhaps you could make a skill modifier that allows it to autocast or be permanently active

While the skill design of certain skills(especially older ones) leads to alot of auto-casting behaviour, the devs don’t wanna support that kind if usage. There were already several topics on this. Devs are kinda “ok” with it when people using it, but they want to redesign skills to not be auto-casted.

Devs already redesigned several skil ltrees to be more of “reactionary” or situational skills rather than 24/7 auto-cast
So i highly doubt that they would add a baseline function into the game.

I would like to see more skills converted into passives like Holy Aura, even if they retain a small active component like that skill. Devouring Orb is a prime example – recasting it is just tedious (and janky trying to move and cast). There’s more of a grey area with skills such as Sigils of Hope since those have a stacking benefit that comes with an increasing mana cost.

Ultimately, I’d love to see all skills take the form of attacks or cooldown-based defensive mechanics that have a purpose to the timing (Flame Ward). When I’m mashing buttons, I want there to be an important reason for it, not just micromanaging essentially “passive” skills that provide stats to my character.

Yes that’s exactly the direction devs want to go i think, all the examples you give.

Feel the same. Devouring orb is annoying to me too, but Sigil of Hope is next level.

They working similarly to the aura is a good idea, hope the devs go this route.
