Player suggestion mega thread ***QUESTION FOR PLAYERS***

So I’m curious would people want one mega thread for each season that puts a compiled itemized list of suggestions made by players in one mega thread.

A few things about it if yes;

  • who should keep list updated a player or dev(i doubt a dev has time to do this)
  • does the list need to have any dev feedback of yeah or nah or maybe or hey we see it
  • does it need a date when suggested was said
    *do various takes on same(generally) ideas need multiple post or sub points summed up
  • does the post have a TLDR of general suggestion or detailed explanation
    *should the linked suggestions include link to original suggestion thread/

No that is absolutely highly impractical and would suffer from a lot of chaos in the comments.

Suggestions are not always universally agreed upon and things like that need room for discussion.

Each specific suggestion or idea should have a dedicated thread to really open room for discussion and feedback. What one player likes and sees as a good idea or addition to the game, the nexdt player might hate.

Also a giant list like that would probably come with various level of details for individual suggestions, some which would need proper explanations and can’t be explaiend in a bullet point list.

I really like if a suggestion can be discussed in length in the comments without it getting convoluted when there are multiple parties talking about different things in the thread. (This already has happen numerous amount of times on EHG Posts and on People making a huge thread about a plethora of suggestions)

I get what you saying which is why the bullet points I had like if it was a yes should the tldr idea point also link you to original thread. I’m not saying all post should be migrated to one post. I was thinking more of a table of contents to see all the ideas said during the season. That way if you have a suggestion there may already be a post about it and the same/similar ideas could find each other ideally and get more support traction.

I really hope this didn’t come off as a way to steal others ideas/credit or anything negative. I made this post with positive intentions of helping others suggestions get more visibility.

Yes I get what you want to achieve with it, but in pratice it will be impossible to keep updated. And people when making new suggestions will for the majority of times not even look at most sources if there is already a similar or the same suggestion and just post theirs individually anyway.

So I think the amount of effort you would need to put into such a compiled list (and keep it relevant and updated) would be enormous and wouldn’t really pay off that much.

And again, what I want to emphasize, not everything that got suggested would necessarily be a univerally agreed upon suggestions. So then you would need to make the decision what kind of suggestions to put on the list and which ones you won’t.

It also is very hard to come to a good conclusion which suggestions are liked and which ones are not liked across the entiree community, since most of the different platforms (e.g. LE Forum, Reddit, Discord etc.) have very different tasted and opinions about certain subjects.

Especially Reddit is incredibly narrow and hostile on some subjects, which you get just downvoted and dumped on for, which on other platforms are much more popular or at least discussed in a civil manner.

oh i don’t mean as mega thread as a these are all winner ideas just a here’s a list of suggestions made during current season, but yeah i guess its a bad idea.

Hey folks,

While we enjoy gathering feedback and suggestions, this approach might be very broad and could easily become much to upkeep. Instances with off topic comments, discussions, and other instances have been common examples.
Don’t fret though! We are still open to hearing all sorts of suggestions so please continue to discuss and share them here or via discord’s suggestion or feedback channel. :slight_smile:
