Pinnacle boss scaling over cycle

seems like to many of us are still having issues killing the last boss 6 weeks in. is there a way we can have is scale down after a certain point like -10% per week. can even give the full power boss killers a title. i just want to see it go down and im not getting the gear or blessing to get there. seems like i need 2+lp on all my gear or its just not going to happen.

Pinnacle boss content naturally comes with a few hurdles.

While it is frustrating for some people, this type of content was long overdue. LE desperately needed fixed difficulty content with no external variables.

I don’t want to see any variance in the bosses stats ever. Same with new other bosses that will be added for these pinnacle type boss systems.

Regardless of how you put it, there will always some portion of the community that cannot defeat the boss and as soon as you start with moving goalposts with some systems that make the boss easier it will keep being requested to make the boss easier and easier and easier.

If a large portion of the community really thinks the boss is either too hard or unfair I am not against adjusting the boss, as long as it doesn’t get nerfed on a regular basis.
But I really want the boss to stay at one static difficulty.

I personally see it as a ‘participation medal’, which is nothing else then pity in my eyes.
If I’m not good enough with a - very intended - difficulty of some content then I either put the effort in until I can overcome it or I leave for challenges which are more fitting for me personally.

I don’t think depriving the people coming before of the value of their achievement is a good way to handle things. If someone did it the hard way they can be proud of it, if you make it achievable for everyone without problems… what does saying ‘I beat this boss!’ have for a value?

at the same time the boss does not need to be as much of a pain as POE. this boss feels like POE mindset. i quit playing that game because of that constant wall in and dead. spend weeks getting stronger and still getting smoked in no time. tune the boss for no LP and setup a leader board for it.

also what is the point of downing the boss? what gear do you get that you cant get anywhere other? seems like a crap way to bring out a boss and then make it not seen by over half of the players.

waist of time to build a boss and not have most of the players be able to get too it. last cycle was better for scaling. this one is just set to 15 when it just needed a little bit more not 10x harder.

It is supposed to be the hardest content currently in LE (static anyway, outside of going thousands of corruption or arena waves). It’s supposed to be a challenge.
It’s also optional. So you don’t need to do it (like you don’t need to do Maven in PoE).

The boss (like pretty much all pinnacle bosses everywhere) has exclusive loot. Especially the amulet is very good.

It would actually be a waste of time to make a content that is explicitly “This is the hardest content in LE currently” and then you can kill it naked.

As I said, it’s optional, you don’t have to do it. If you want to do it, gear up and get better at the fight.

Its not a waste. Pinnacle bosses arent ment for the majority of players to reach or even beat.

Content like this is ment for players thay will push thier build and content to the limits. No im not talking about players that no life the game.

Most players dont even reach empowered timelines. Same thing in poe majority of players dont even reach red maps yet alone yellow maps

All bosses do.

Lagon is very PoE mindeset. Heoroth is, Gaspar is… they’re all modelled after highly mechanical fights.

They present a distinct different play-style then the game usually does, which can be off-putting, agreed.
Which is also why I would like to see options for people to focus on the game without engaging in the bossfights, given they play in MG as otherwise you need to engage by design with a more varied amount of content.

That’ll likely happen over time, it’s too early for the game to present that yet.

They do get to it. What are you talking about? Not everyone needs to finish 100% of the content of a game. That’s not a mandatory thing.

How many hours have you invested into getting there? 40? 60? After 100 you should reach the boss easily, and you’ll likely have a good grasp to get a chance to kill him after tackling several Harbingers.

I’m all for legitimate reasons to tackle issues here, I’ve nitpicked at the smallest of smallest details at times.
This line of logic is not one of those.
This is not a valid argument.
