Picking up items with controller stops working

I play with controller on GeForce Now and on Nvidia Shield just so I can easily play on my TV. Everything works really well except for picking up items with the controller. Most of the time the A will show on the item name and I can use the d-pad to select a different item. While playing, this feature will stop working where there is no prompt on the item name and pressing A, while over the item does nothing. The only way to fix this that I found is to turn the game off and back on again. I can use the right stick to select the item with the mouse however this becomes very time consuming and cumbersome. I think it might happen when I use the right stick while not in a menu. If I use the cursor to pick up an item then I can no longer use the A button only until I restart the game.

losing ability to pick up item is detrimenetal using controller

Happening to me too. Just randomly. Sometimes it plays for an hour fine, sometimes the first map I go into it just stops right away. It is really annoying. The only solution I can find is completely exit and reload the game.

Please fix!
