Petition to make necromancer minions like melverns writ

(in case you aren’t aware, melverns writ automatically summons a mercenary to fight for you, and will re-summon it a few seconds after it dies)

so what i mean by the title is, i want the necromancer skills to passively summon our minons, and them abilities such as golem stomp, arrow barrage, necrotic mortar, etc would be used by our minions upon activating the skill itself, instead of just randomly.

just an idea, but it would make full minion builds more active and interesting (and no, i personally don’t consider wraith spam to be active or interesting as it requires no thought or strategy)

So you want to make them work like the Primalist minions - summon the max you’re able to then get a skill to use instead?

I don’t like minion builds, but I’d probably prefer different types of summoners, the Primalist summons smaller numbers of more hardy minions that can be resed, the Acolyte summons lots of disposable minions.

I am on @Llama8 side here, i do like the quite different general playstyle of summoners. Primalist and Necromancer do “feel” alot different and that’s a good thing.
Necromancer is in fact a lot more “passive”, since you don’t have any active component to your minions, but i do like that all minions have differetn skills you can unlock, so they are using them. It feels alot better than just summoning minions that do basic attacks.
And with skills like Dread Shade, Bone Curse or Assemble Abomination i think necromancer already hasaccess to pissible more active playstyle if you want to go that route.

Something similar to the unique you mentioned does indeed should stay “unique”.
