There are currently 2 issues I see with the cosmetic pets AI:

The pets should stay with the character. Currently they move very slow, but since they are simply cosmetic and have no impact to the play, they should inherit the speed of the character. I realize that after they get a certain distance back that they “zoom” up to the player, but this sort of breaks the immersion.

The pets currently pass through terrain rather than using the terrain. If they are behind and you go around a piece of terrain and down some stairs, they will pass right through the terrain as if it isn’t there or they are ghosts.
