The Primordial gloves that give you +50% skill ups.
My legacy warlock has the Spine of Malotros two-handed sword for Fissure.
With +8 to skills. By the wording of the gloves, I should have AT LEAST +3 to the specific skills in addition to the original no matter what.
But when I put the gloves on, nothing changes. No more skill ups. Am I reading the gloves wrong? Are the gloves just buggy?
The extended text also provides an explanation to this (highlighted the important bit):
âThis effect rounds up, so +1 becomes +2. Legendary affixes are the additional affixes on legendary items that are not present on the base unique item. Skill level modifiers are any stats that add levels to your specialised skills.â
When I first saw this item, I also thought it would apply to all +level stats and already got excited for lvl 50+ elemental nova or something like that. Then my dreams were shatteredâŚ
Itâs decent, yeah, but I wish it would work on non-legendary affixes as well to make exalted items an option.
Sometimes, good exalted helmets are just more interesting as a legendary one for the implicit modifiers, perfect mix of affixes, or higher base armour.
I would say it doesnât. It specifically says âSkill level stats from legendary affixesâ. If it did, it would say âSkill level legendary affixesâ instead. So, in theory, it should only affect the +skill, not the secondary affix.
However, we all know that sometimes EHG doesnât properly word things (or they do and bugs happen), so itâs better to test. It should be easy with some flat values like mana or HP.
Only the level stat is affected, not the secondary bonus.
Tested it with âto elementalâ elemental nova. Removing the helmet dropped the âincreased cold damageâ for exactly the 71% that my T6 level to elemental nova grants.
Oh ok⌠so gloves are not an obviously best way to optimize my current marrow ghostflame warlock with excessive crit chance a lot of +dmg with skills aff-s, but extra +2 +1 +2 to skills w/o extra dmg is so-so option
It would have been easier to test by removing the gloves, not the helmet
That way the level of the skill would change and the stat would stay the same. Easier than calculating if it changed by 71% or however much it would be.
