@devs when are you going to adress the fps drops/performance issues?
Theyâve said they are working on it in the patch thread. Once you have layers of different systems it takes more time to untangle them and figure out which is the issue, after that you have to make sure whatever youâre doing to resolve the issue doesnât break more than youâve fixed.
Hey thank you for the reply could you point me to that thread where they mentioned that?
I still think there is a memory leak somewhere. The longer I play the game in one session, the more it starts to âbreak downâ and stutter a bit. Then if I exit completely to desktop and go back in, itâs fine.
I agree,. Though now I can only play for 10 mins at a time now, instead of a few hours since the latest patch. And I am one of the lucky ones that was able to play through the rough time during the first week of launch.
Interesting. I actually felt it had gotten worse since 1.0 too, but my PC is old and on its last legs, so I assumed it was because of that.
My PC is old as well, which is a huge factor. I didnât expect to have the same frames after launch. To my surprise it wasnât as bad as I thought after launch. Having to launch the game through steam doesnât help at all either. Very unnecessary CPU/RAM usage. I get having to buy/MTX through steam, but, steam running in the background is likely a lot of the Memory leak issues.
For context, Iâm running an AM3 motherboard, 16 gig ram, Nvidia 1650 super and a AMD FX 8150 CPU. Easily runs most games. And used to handle LE great. I can even run Unreal Engine 5.x and Ryder at the same time. (though itâs nap time during compile, haha).
For me it also feels like that. I also can remember that when they âfixedâ the memory leak back in the days it was more like a hotfix. So they might have never actually fixed the causing issue. Just implemented some kind of garbage collection/memory freeâing to prevent the game from crashing.
