Performance issues on good pc?

Hello. I have tried playing today. As it seems I have severe performance issues.

I own 7900XT, 5900X, 3200 32GB ram and 1440p 165hz monitor on which i play the game.
I have noted that game feels wierd so i have done some testing. When i use FPS overlay my fps ranges around 130-165ish, but lows reach 20 fps.

I have checked for all driver updates, I have ddu and clean install AMD gpu driver, I have reinstalled the game, and I have also tried to change settings in the game ( at first i used Very high preset - i have tried also low preset).

My fps drops no matter the settings and no matter what is done.
I am uncertain what to do, but in my opinion I think that game should run pretty well on my pc

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m also using Very High preset, I’m not having stutters or low fps dips (besides in loading screens which are to be expected).

My FPS is pretty much 120-144 range (I cap it at 144, my screen is 3440x1440 144hz)…

My setup is a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB 3800MHz RAM and game is on Nvme SSD.

When are these lows happening? If it’s on loading screens, it’s normal.

Also, what else have you got running on the background? Online or Offline play? Capped or Uncapped FPS settings?

Sorry for not clearing all of the info.

Its happening during play ( example staring area where a lot of fires are i see lows of under 20).
I play on online and I have uncapped settings ingame and capped in driver to 162 FPS. I have tried turning driver cap off and ingame cap on and it’s the same thing. I have also tried to reinstall the game completely.

Also my gpu never reaches 100% playing the game. I play a lot of games, no bottle neck as i have overclocked cpu.

I have tried playing offline mode on ultra settings and it seems my fps is way better, has very little fps drops and %1 lows are close to average fps so i guess something is wrong with server maybe.

Guys, its the UI. Check my video, as you can see moving mouse over items, skill bar, comparing makes FPS go down by a lot (30-40 FPS in my case). This is rly bad, please lets make them notice this. @Leksa99 @EHG_Kain

this isnt the issue here. I am talking about bad performance on server. Lows are insanely low compared to average fps.

If i walk in first town towards waypoint i feel when i play that there are tons of stutters and game just doesnt feel “fluid”.

in general the performances are clean and smooth but i noticed that having auto-compare on and mouseovering loot while moving around causes stutters. nothing else does. very good performances except when mouseovering loot while moving.

it’s frustrating to me but i don’t see many ppl talking about it so i guess the average non ocd gamer tolerates it?

it’s a shame really. wouldve been really pleased with the performances without this frustrating thing.

Been running at 4k on 3090/12900 on ultra preset havnt had any fps issues, only the server connection issues.

Considering this, give them time to fix the servers. It might just be server lag fucking up frame times.

If it persists afterwards, I’d recommend opening a ticket.

Thanks all for input. I hope it gets fixed, It kinda bums me out that i can play most of modern games on 4k 120 but sadly last epoch runs terrible given in account that i play on 1440p.

I will indeed give devs time, hopefully when server problems are fixed so will be %1 fps.

funny you mention the starting area with the fires. I haven’t been monitoring fps, but I did notice that that the fire area at the start made my GPU fan come on. It rarely does that. I run a 4070ti.
