When sorting the stash tab I get massive FPS drop, game freezes and the game stops responding and eventually crashes.
Steps to reproduce this:
Have your stash and inventory open
Try to sort through your stash, being creating new tabs, adding tab priorities and just overall checking which items can be changed to priority tabs and which items can be sold to create more space.
After a while the game just starts freezing just from doing this. The freezes can go for about 2 seconds to 5 seconds and the FPS drop to around 10 right after the freeze goes away.
What I tried to do:
I play on Low graphics. Tried going to Very Low. Tried going into streamer mode and play with FPS locked to 60. Tried not doing any of the sorting stash and the game works fine.
Specs:
Intel Core i7-7700k
RTX 2070 8GB
32GB Ram DDR4
Game is on SSD.
Similar issue. Whenever I access my inventory, especially the stash, my memory usage spikes massively and the game will lock up for several seconds, will lock up hovering over items just to view stats. Non-item management gameplay if fine. Also getting game crashes just moving inventory items.
Very similar issue for me. I have a high-end card though, so the frame rate drop was really surprising. Was emptying legacy tabs into the non read-only base tabs where it got progressively worse before a PC crash.
Finally can begin to play normally like season 2 after having to deal with the audio issues and microstutters and now whenever I’m about to stash items boom! game crashes again.
It’s always the same man, getting tired of it.
To add some additional information, I have noticed that when interacting between legacy and season tabs the game starts using more and more drive space. I had 100gb of free space and windows popped up telling me I had ran out of space on the drive. This was then freed once the game crashed.
After checking, the space it fills up is System virtual memory, so looks to be a memory leak that eventually uses up all disk space.
Is this making a new copy of season storage every time it’s opened and never removing the previous?
I have the same problem, game crashes after I sort through stash for a longer time. It seems to be a memory leak as my RAM usage goes way up the longer I am sorting through the stash. I also play on legacy.
Definitely some kind of memory issue - You can watch the RAM creep up and up. Stash starts to lag when the game uses 16-18GB on its own and it keeps rising. If you can “catch it” then your whole PC won’t be whack. If you wait it out, it crashes other running apps outside LE.
Whenever I have to manage stash, I go in, keep resource monitor running, and when I only have 4GB free of 32GB total I exit the game. If you walk away from your stash, it does not release the RAM.
After the Hotfix patch 1.3.0.3 the memory leak has been reduced but still not removed.
Spent some time sorting out the stash and moving things in and out of stash to inventory. Creating new tabs and deleting and all that stuff. Eventually the game froze and then crashed.
