Will there be an OCE server? if not will offline still be playable with offline characters once multiplayer goes live? I really hope us from AU/NZ dont have to play on high ping asian/na servers.

Great to hear about not going the full tilt DPS go go go route for build selection. Also echoing the sentiment on what not to do for wide spread release. A few too many multiplayer “games as services” shooting themselves in the foot not taking advantage of stress tests and using the free QA of early adopters as they should. The first impression is always the most important.

The title of the announcement is “Patch 0.9 and multiplayer are coming next year”.
The announcement talks about multiplayer but not a word about the patch.
Should we understand that multiplayer will be added with the 0.9?

Great news, but It might be a good idea to give a general timeline or the timeline that you are aiming for ideally. This is more of a teaser than an update, and we’ve had plenty of those :slight_smile:

I imagine this is the case, as 0.9 would signify another big milestone in the early access forecast for the game on its way to 1.0 (launch). Seeing as the article mentions “we are still months away”, it’ll be “ready when it’s ready”, and several performance improvements are still coming would indicate to me that there will be further 0.8 patch iterations before the 0.9 release (i.e. 0.8.1, 0.8.2, etc.).

At least that’s my interpretation of this announcement, and the fact that going directly from one major patch node to another (0.8 to 0.9) has yet to occur in this games patch cycle history.

Personally, I’m still looking forward to many of the other items on the early access forecast and can wait patiently until multiplayer is truly ready.
