I found this sweet looking helm on an alt and so I created a Void knight specifically to use it. Imagine my disappointment when I found that despite numerous reports, this item is STILL bugged. The key issue is that it is supposed to allow lunge to work without a target. This is not working at all.
Additionally the cooldown buff is also not doing anything. Unlike previous reports the skill points for lunge were granted to me.
The cooldown is not a buff, it’s a nerf.
(30 to 40)% Reduced Cooldown Recovery Speed for Lunge
Means the speed you recover the cooldown is reduced >slower, so the cooldown is longer.
Ahh - so you are right. And unfortunately that would explain why the skill actually seemed slower for me. It added nearly a second to my cooldown. So basically this “awesome on paper” helm is granting increased void damage, and 3 skill points to lunge but at the cost of slowing the cooldown recovery and not providing the key buff for Lunge (the removal of the target requirement).
Hopefully it will get fixed in 0.9.2
