Paladin Desperate Measures + Hand of Aurelus at 0 or below mana

I’d like to report a bug (two?) related to Smite + Healing Hands interaction at 0 or below Mana.

Setup:

  • Healing Hands (1+ points in Hand of Aurelus); <= 0 mana cost for Healing Hands (eg. wand + skill tree)
  • Smite (1 point in Desperate Measures)
  • have a mechanism to drop Mana <= 0 while casting Smite (to test, pick up Sigils for example, make it insta-cast, keep casting it while right-click attack with Smite).

Scenario 1: Cast Smite while stationary + Mana <= 0

  • Issue: Casting Smite while stationary will only trigger the Smite cast animation. Neither Smite nor Healing Hands are actually cast/triggered (no damage on target, no healing/ward on self).

Scenario 2: Exact same setup as Scenario 1, only this time stutter move to cast Smite (keep both move + attack)

  • Issue: Smite does fully cat this time around (damage on target) but Healing Hands is not triggered.

Given how many bugs are already reported related to Desperate Measure node and/or various interactions with other Paladin skills, it would be really appreciated if you could be bothered to put a little bit of care into fixing at least one thing for a class which you decided that it should not be competitive with the clear favorites, in your quest to make everyone play Rogue/Acolyte.
