Hello everyone.
I have always wanted to exploit this node. Dread Shade has recently offered us the possibility:
I playtest it a lot today.
The result of the test is that Dying Light destroys the minions very quickly. It also destroys all of their health regeneration.
The only possible use for this node, would be to use a lot of Wraith, and see them die very quickly.
The damages inflicted by Damned stacks are low. We are on an average of 300 damages inflicted when reaching 10 stacks and more per unit. But Drain Live’s damage is heightened and that is the main goal.
In the end, it is cheaper in skill points and much more efficient to simply take this node there:
You have to use a lot of minions, with a high hit rate. Each hit will inflict 1 stack of Damned Stack.
Life Drain :
It’s a very interesting spell, but I have several negative impressions about it:

Only three targets per hit, on a spell with a small area of effect, and in addition on a spell that requires channeling, it seems too little to me.

There is a node that allows you to increase the number of targets hit by +1. But it requires 4 investment points in Horrify (a node that slowdown and create Fear) and increase the mana cost.

Besides, I find that browsing the different skill trees is very expensive. 4 skill points are needed to open the trees. Look :

Last thing: Dark Shacle and Grasp of the Damned, are superb nodes and very pleasant to use, but the mana cost is prohibitive (+65 mana, and +20 mana, so +85 mana per spell). They require the use of MInions, and Grim Harvest (another expensive branch to unlock), and you have to leech mana (and damage) your minions for this to be possible.
In the end, the current state of this skill is a shame because I find that there would not be much that could be done to make this spell more attractive.
