The inventory sort option is great, a big time saver, but it would be nicer if you could ‘pin’ items where they are in the inventory so they stay put when sorting.
I often find myself putting an item or two for special handling in the bottom right corner and it would be great if I could stop them from being sorted.
Imagine you would be able to recoulor a certain part of the inventory as a “Everything is excluded from the sort option.” or the ability to mark an item as “unsortable”. This would be most likely helpfull for some players. I just don’t think this would ever happen or most likely this would be something to work on before they introduce a fishing minigame for forum campers ^^.
Sometimes I have this issue as well, so I can understand your point. Usually, when it’s just one, I just place it on the crafting window, sort and move it back. If there are more, I usually just dump it on the ground (or in a stash tab if I’m around it), sort and then move it back again.
While this might be handy in certain situations, I feel its use is too niche to justify spending development time on it. I’d rather they just add options to sorting, especially sorting by item type/level req/most recent/etc.
