that i can absolutely agree on. they really do a great job there.
About the cosmetic, meh. i mean its nice they do that, but honestly doesnt really make up for the inconvenience.

I mean, youâre right. I guess my point was, itâs something. They didnât have to do anything. Iâm sure theyâre not thrilled with how the launch has been so far.
lets see how long this will go and how they will handle this uproar. Personally im very willing to be positively surprised =)
No doubt. Like I said, Iâll be upset if this isnât functional by the late weekend. Iâm level 15 and just struggling through this launch. It is what it is. Hopefully this latest service update shows some stability soon.
Most people who complain havenât been playing that much online game during launch day. Go outside and touch grass.
just that it isnt launch day anymore.
I chuckled pretty good at that one!
If you want to take it there. Launch week. I havenât encounter any popular game that got all the major streamer playing that didnât have a problem.
well, because âmajor streamersâ are playing it, it doesnt make the game good (this will has to be seen once its fully playable). They are securing their streaming incomes by playing any game that is hyped. Also, twitch drops kinda is a free viewership incentive as well.
While i agree many games do have their issues at launch, we also must agree that these kind of issues (as in, not being able to provide the service at all) are rather rare.
Except they did. Theyâre bragging about 1 million copies sold, and then mentioned that they stress tested and launch will be fine and theyâre ready, which was obviously a lie. It canât even support 100k players.
Look, I love these devs and I love this game, but theyâve had 6 years of backing and early access to figure it out. Donât they have 91 employees? And backed by Tencent? Itâs somehow WORSE than early access launch. I really hate being negative but this is actually unacceptable.
1 Million copies over 4 years of EA, minus 4 years of salaries to pay, plus regular development costs AND marketing. Theyâre not banking huge amounts of money. And the thing they can spend money on, server capacity, isnât the issue. The issue is there are problems with the authentication and matchmaking services that you canât replicate at scale in an internal environment.
Tencent is a bad thing to bring up, theyâre notoriously hands-off. Thatâs just a lazy argument.
What do you mean? If a company gets money from a big corporation, that CLEARLY means the game is AAA and therefore has infinite capital to spend on anything.

Iâm so sick of people saying this. You canât migrate characters from offline to online so this is not a legitimate response. Just stop already.
im love this game
Yup, not that I was able to play before, but itâs the constant lying about how things are being fixed thatâs really starting to piss me off now.
Posting quality on these forums have really degraded since the Diablo Tourists came to town.
So many people always want an offline mode and that they donât have to be permanently online. and then a game has an offline mode and then thatâs not right and everyone wants to play online. And then spam everything everywhere because the online mode doesnât work properly yet. People are extremely easy to understand and you always know in advance what is coming and what they will say/write. To quote from a film: âWhen you understand the nature of something, things become predictable.â
But consider this:
People that want a true offline mode and people that want to play online are not necessarily the exact same people.
Why is online so important for some?
Why is it not a good idea to allow character transfer from offline to online?
