Online Armory

I did not bother to search if this suggestions was made. I would like an online armory (diablo 3 like) where I can see all my chars and their builds, blessings, gear and stats and link them to other people would save some hassle to put everything into a third party calculator site just to get some advice on my build!.

just need site owner to make a d3planner like site where you can login/save builds

just takes MONEY

If any of your characters were online, yeah, you could do that, otherwise you’d need to do what D3viant said.

There are planner sites i just want a site that grabs existing chars an publish it online.

Good luck for the site to get permission to interrogate files sat on every/most/some player’s pc’s. Once multiplayer has been implemented then EHG could allow that to happen via an API but it’s not going to happen before that.

Why cant api for sites happen berore that?! Maby i’m missing something but it seems like an easy thing to do.

Because the character data is currently stored on our computers. I don’t know about you, but I’m not entirely happy with a website that I don’t have anything to do with rooting around in the bowels of my pc. What if they find my secret stash of midget robotic goat pr0n? What if the site gets hacked by some nefarious ne’er-do-well & they find my secret stash of midget robotic goat pr0n & decide to blackmail me or they just lift all of my details & sell them online?

Edit: If you’re ok with that, then we might as well just cut to the chase & you can send me a pair of 3090s & 4x 4k monitors.

Seems like a bullshit answer. Sorry i asked!

Why do you say that? I know I used some humour in there, but the point is valid. The save data for your characters is on your pc & I don’t know about you but I’m not ok with a site going digging about on my pc to find that info. Me uploading the data to a site is a very different kettle of fish.

Are you are saying all the planner sites are just lazy to give me the option to upload save files?

At the moment there’s 1 planner site for LE & that does allow you to upload your character to populate it. If you’re talking about D3 (online only) & PoE (also online only) then any planner sites would use an API to suck character data from the games’ servers (PoE certainly allows that, not entirely sure about D3 since it’s been a long time though it doesn’t really have builds that are complex enough to warrant that).

Which planner sites are you referring to?

Why did you think my earlier answer was BS?

If there is a planner site who allows upload of savefiles i have not found it.
D3 does it by themself it’s called d3 armory and you get access to if you log in to the sitejust wanted some thing like that that last epoch manage.

Only planner site for last epoch i have found is

Why i thought it was a bullshit answer is that Last epoch official site could do it themself and not rely on API.

They’d still need to request access from each & every user to access their pc to suck up the user files.

Simple do you agree form most would say yes.

Lastepochtools does allow you to upload save files. There is a button in the top left.

To populate the build planner yes, but it doesn’t then do anything with the data to publish it in any form (such as top X builds) which I think is what the OP wants.

Aha, gotcha.

For the record, if LE or some 3rd party site asked me for access to my PC to automatically suck up save files I would click “no” so hard it would leave a dent in my LMB ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah… no. No one should ever agree to a form like this. Think of everything you keep on your computer, as @Llama8 said, there are things you don’t want to give them permission to do/see. Also, with things like GDPR that exist, you would also need an “opt out” forum, not to mention all the potential legalities involved with an employee who misuses the ability to dive into someone’s PC. It would be an unreasonable risk.

You’re right, EHG could do this themselves, but only after Multiplayer and character data is stored on their server. Then, they have the data they would need, without the risk to the user or themselves. But, this kind of investment, while nice for us, doesn’t make much sense for EHG because there are fans that will make such sites, so long as they’re provided with an external API to the character data that EHG can grant to developers.

Yeah i know but the stats on the sheets does not show the same as ingame.

Values are off.
