I know this topic has been up before but i cant stress it enough how damn annoying this is. Same problem like always the Earthquake quys with the Jumpattack. It doesnt mather if it is a monolite run 6 or 20 i already know my fate when i see this guy. The only chans is to kite/strife trough the whole damn map and if im lucky enough i might kill him. Im lvl 71 and running a frost sorcerer with decent gear. Bosses/minibosses should be hard but when you do a low lvl run and keep melting and facetanking everything else its not right. I hope its getting fixed soon because its getting really annoying now and i really love this game so far. Keep up the good work guys!
I’m not sure I agree. Most one shots are clearly telegraphed & once you get to know effective ways to deal with them they can be avoided.
For example,
Wengari Matriarchs are the ones that do a leap that does massive damage on landing. However they seem to have a minimum range for the leap, so if you’re in close melee range, they jump over you & you can’t get hit.
The Wengari Patriarch’s & the Rime Giant’s Avalanche attack is easily avoided by staying at range, though if you’re melee you’ll likely have problems since it does track you.
The undead chickens lower their heads for a few seconds before doing their necrotic AoE.
The Profane Flesh alternates their AoE slam with their small AoE mine attack, again, the AoE rock slam has a minimum range, so if you’re in close melee you can’t be hit.
The various Gorn slam attacks are only done at close range & the mobs themselves are slow so as long as you kite them you can stay out of range & damage them (unless you’re melee only, then you’d probably have to run behind them while they’re winding up).
The Marsh Beetle Queens are a bit more frustrating as they rotate their AoE if you move while they are charging up their attack (personally I think that is unreasonable), but as long as you can run out of it quickly you’ll be ok.
The primeval dragon’s beam attack can be avoided by moving perpendicularly while it’s charging up & it’s big AoE can be avoided by running out of it while it charges up (though that is harder since it usually slows you before it does the AoE).
The big plant champions that do a stamp AoE attack can be avoided by staying at range & running out of the AoE poison pools.
I’m talking about the Wengari Matriarchs that can do both long and short jumps. He never jumped over me so far. Either he hited me or i managed to teleport out of range. He is pretty fast to so it can be a bit difficult to outrange him and turn to cast spells on him. I can even buy that he can one shot you but definitely not at so low ranked runs that I’m doing right now.
