One-shot hopscotch

I would rather go play D3 PTR then continue to play one-shot hopscotch.

Thanks for the feedback, but could you be a little more specific?

Beyond having at least one decent damage mitigation mechanic (Armour etc) and Resistances at an appropriate % at least for the level and having things like Crit Avoidance capped, everyone knows that LE is designed so that mobs telegraph high damage attacks and the general rule is to get the f out of dodge when the telegraph happens…

So are there any instances where this one-shot issue is not sticking to the rules and needs to be looked at?

First arena boss. Saw the announcement that I had reached it. Saw what looked like an insignificant add mob on the screen and started attacking it. One shot.

Now let me ask you, the Devs, and the community. Can you name a Boss I can go fight that hits hard and fast, but does NOT rely primarily on multiple one shot hopscotch attacks?

Hmm…

I did the Crimson one in Arena last night but didnt notice any one-shot… but I was using a strong build and overlevelled for the tier so I may have just shrugged it off without noticing. I would have to go run the Arenas a few more times to see what you may be experiencing…

Havent run enough of either of the new dungeons (not enough keys) to know any of those new bosses enough to comment on them.

Not sure how to answer your question regarding bosses NOT having one-shot possibilities… They are all designed to have at least 1 telegraphed one-shot - some you can tank if you have a strong enough char but mostly its intended that you move away when this happens… Its sort of a common design aspect that the devs put into the bosses (and some mobs too)… As I understand it, the devs dont want anyone to just facetank a boss from start to finish…

Some one-shots are very strong and you are definitely NOT intended to tank it - like Julras full arena shot… some are possible to tank or mitigate depending on build/your level vs the area/boss level but this is in extreme situations and usually min/maxed builds…

The key here is that 1) you should be able to see the one-shot coming and 2) you should be able to move away in sufficient time. If these two criteria are not met then the devs need to look at it and they have done this in the past when previous iterations of mobs/bosses have had issues…
