Omen Windows Too Easy

Omen Windows are way too easy and give too much insanely good gear.

Turn up the difficulty and maybe consider lowering the drop rate of uniques and corrupted items - the reward is way too great for the challenge.

Again this bullshit

I think they are pretty good right now, the only thing that is a bit on the low side is the HP of the Omen itself once its invulerability wears of. The horde part of the Omen usually is the hardest and the “boss” part is fairly easy and they re super low hp.

I could see increasing their HP a bit but overall I think the difficulty is very good

Ya the boss needs a lot more HP. Rift Beasts are way harder than this seasons mechanic.

I think the density gets too much to handle sometimes

Insanely good gear? Literally only place to get idol layouts and corrupted idols. The items they drop are pretty garbo once you’ve reached end game with your build. Not sure what you’re on about TBH.

If this is your account ( https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/makszi/character/Bladestorm ) which it appears it is you’re not even 100 on any char yet nor are you actually pushing corruption so what you’re saying now is a little bit silly because you’re still in the honeymoon phase of LE. I would happily invite you to various corruption levels and I can start the omen veil map and see if you think it’s too easy at 300, 500, 1000, 2000 - it definitely gets harder as you go further in, thats the point I am trying to make.

While I disagree I can see where you are coming from. There are not a lot of things in LE right now that have very high mob density. And in a vaccum this might seem like a bit of a outlier, but I actually think we need more content with simialr mob density, this way investing into good AoE clear, even early in teh campaign will feel very good and worth it.

So I am definitely hoping for more “horde-style” mechanics getting added in the future.

Omen windows are IMO more a matter of your build style than anything else. I have a VERY good minion build that struggles with Omen windows because it’s entire play style is supposed to be let the minions do the fighting while my Necro runs away. Being forced into the circle means my squishy Necro cant get away from the monsters.

It is even worse with the 3 circle mono you need to clear in order to get to the final omen boss. I can’t just reduce each circle one at a time because i cant keep my minions from finishing off a boss too quick. I can’t stay in the tiny middle of all 3 circles as my necro dies instantly. This really is a blinged out build i am talking about and progress against high difficulty omen windows is just not on.

On the other hand my erasing strike build, which is far less developed than my necro, laughs at omen windows as he just bonks more than half the circle with each hit.

The Omen boss isn’t designed to be a hard fight by himself - his power is in the windows, and the adds. Once you’ve cleared all the adds, and he becomes vulnerable, its kind of like “time to pop the pinata!” more than fighting another boss.

Yes I understand and agree with that, I wouldn’t want the boss part of that to become the ultiamte challenge, we have enough hard single big monsters in other mechanics already, but I still think the difference between how hard the horde part and the Boss is still too large. It just “doesn’t feel right”.

Especially on very good builds deeper into the endgame sometimes the Omen Boss dies within 1-2 seconds, while the rest of the encounter took several dozens of seconds.
