Omen windows are too congested

Hi Guys,
I’m not here to rip the game apart… I love it and I love the new changes … but I feel the omen windows are way too chaotic… there’s no ramp up and the screen is too cluttered so I don’t see the circle anymore and my GPU is melting. lol.
Thoughts?

Yes, I agree, the circle is not visible at all when there is chaos on the screen. You have to look at the indicator and not at what is happening around you. I hope they will make it more visible.

Also it is impossible to dodge stuff, you literally can’t see anything that is going on. There is no place to maneuver… I have several 1k+ builds and so far only my erasing strike build stands a chance because I don’t need to aim, it just clears half the screen every hit.

In fact, LE is one of the cleanest visual games. Personally I have no problem. But I completely agree about “no place to maneuver.", although this also dependeth on an area.

You think the Omen windows are bad… wait until you see a Pinnachle of Chaos at the end of an Omen Champions Echo Chain. Good lord that is over tuned.

It it my luck, or the Omen egg is always a next to the edge of the map, or next to a wall, giving me a semi-circle at best?

It’s wasn’t a problem for me until the level 80+ timelines. There are so many flashing effects and enemies that I simply can’t see the dozens of dangerous areas on the ground and lose my character under everything. The last window at the end of an omen chain of echoes is especially bad.

It is especially problematic because more than half the Omen windows (in my experience at least) are full of the congealed sludges that explode on death, and their design means they typically blend in with the background.

They’re not only overcrowded and visually cluttered, they’re WAY overpowered for the level of content they’re in

I think SOME testing would have been nice here - we’re not free-to-play Beta testers, we bought a game - you’ve been working on it for months - you could have released it in a playable state.

As-is, half the Omens I saw in campaign were unplayable as they were rammed into corners where there was nowhere to move and the Mono ones are WAY WAY tougher than anything else - bosses included

Not impressed given it’s pretty much the only ‘new’ thing here - what the hell have you been doing all this time?

I distinctly remember years ago you guys stated you were going for fights with visual clarity and no visual soup (unlike some other games). This ain’t it

I have an another problem, I didnae immediately get used to the new “egg” image and missed many of them. I think the design of this cell disnae really stand out from the others.

The 3 at once earlier was an fps massacre even on my rig and it was perma stun couldnt do jack lol soooooooooo many things

Wanted to add another voice to this issue, lost my deathless tag to an omen that was less than a third of the area to move around in. Spawned so many enemies my companions all died immediately and I had so many DoT stacks on me that would just reapply as soon as I cleared them. Ran out of potions so tried to just abandon it but it turns out the swam just follows you outside the ring so I ended up dying to the constant reapplying poison.
The omen windows from the chain that cover the whole area are great, because I get to move around and create space for recovery, but when the smaller ones are cut off and spawn an entire army in such a tight area it’s just a mess. They should either not spawn next to walls to give as much room as possible, or scale down the number of enemies spawned based on how much of the area is available.
I’m just going to start skipping them if I see them shoved into a corner or up against a wall, which is a shame because they can be very fun and rewarding.

I just spawned my first one yesterday in a mid 100s corruption mono. Great Scott! :flushed:

I can’t even imagine what these things are going to be like at higher corruptions.

i just did one at 250 Corruption and I was laughing so hard because I could not tell what was going on. I just locked my eyes on my health globe, and then did my best to rotate my skills well.

These things are a problem IMO. They are too congested and you can’t see a damn thing. The area is too small and often is over the edge of the map/ledge/wall or other obstacles that become impossible to see making it easy to trap yourself and unable to move. The boss is always super easy but the mobs before the boss are just insane because there is nowhere safe to move and you can’t discern what is what to even try to move to a “less bad” area. I have died more times to these areas than anything else including the omen bosses, map bosses or even echo bosses. Feels like an off-brand Breach. :frowning:

I just realized that you don’t have to stay in the circle all the time, so long as you get back in before the timer expires. And the timer resets on reentry, which is quite generous.

100% agree. The mechanic is fun, but the visuals are a mess. This level of density is only fun if the mobs are a swarm of weaker things. The mobs need to be types that are way less powerful on average, or at least fewer that do AoE telegraphs.

If thou art talking about a case with 4-5 bosses at the same time + those they support with beams + crowds of monsters that cover the entire screen, then the only way is to kite. There isnae “being in a circle” restriction in such cases. P.s. Also it could be a problem with survablity, damage , passive nodes, equipment… whatever. Re-watch thy sourses of those.
